Mission Statement: UNA Dane County is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and mobilizing people in South-Central Wisconsin to support the principles and vital work of the United Nations.
The UNA-USA, Dane County Chapter, is the local arm of the United Nations Association of the United States of America. It has been active in the Madison area since the late 1940s, serving member needs for information about the state of our world and the critical issues before our United Nations, providing opportunities for members to influence our national legislature, and, on occasion, joining with the wider Madison community to support concerns for peace and justice for all the citizens of our world.
We meet monthly, September through June, for informational meetings, and we keep our membership informed with updated position statements. A variety of programs are on-going and provide many opportunities for membership participation. If you want to participate we'd love to have you.
Our membership meetings and lecture series occur on the second Tuesday of each month (with the exception of our July and August meetings, when we're on hiatus for the summer) , at 7pm, virtually via Zoom due to COVID-19. Members of the public are encouraged to attend!
